Please note that Rev’d Darren Carlos has Thursdays as his day off.  Fr. Cassius continues to use Mondays as his day off.  Also, please be mindful when bringing forms to the office to be signed to bring along some form of official picture identification.  This is not only for the benefit of Rev’d Carlos, who is new to the parish, but is generally the best practice in all  legal matters.

Confirmation class for the children resumes on Friday 12th January 2018 at 4:15 p.m. Confirmation Class for adults will begin on Thursday 11th January at the Parish Hall.  Interested persons who have not yet signed up are asked to please call the Parish Office.

Our Bible Study resumes on Wednesday 17th January at 6:30 pm  at St. George.  Let us make an effort to come out and learn more about our faith.  The change from Sunday to Wednesday evenings was made with the understanding that more persons preferred this timing.  See you there.

The St. George Mothers’ Union will hold their annual Candle Light Service on Tuesday, 9th January 2018 at St. George at 5:00 pm.  An invitation is extended to all of us as well as other organizations to join them in this act of worship.

Our Business Sunday will take place on Sunday 4th February  2018.  This is a time for us to hear about the work of the Church; there will be one service in the parish on that Sunday.

Vocations:-  Parishioners are being encouraged to volunteer for an hour or two in the following ministries:

1. The Altar Guild at St George’s and St. Barnabas, where much help is needed in preparing the sanctuary for divine worship. Please contact Mrs. Lola Warner and Ms. Claudette Manchester respectively, if you would like to assist.

2. The St. Christopher Outreach Centre, to assist in food preparation for the needy and shut-ins, any day Mon to Fri. Please contact Mrs. Nora Bourne or Mrs. Rosie Phipps if you wish to share in this ministry

3. Cruise Visitors and Tourists Guide, Cruise visitors and tourists who come to St. George’s Church from ships and hotels—a most exciting ministry. Please contact Ms. Sonia Henry if you would like to welcome visitors to our shores and tell them about the history and life of our Church, Parish and Island.

4. The Parish Social Outreach Committee, whose members visit the sick and house-bound members from our two congregations, for birthdays, provide lunch and gifts at Christmas time,  and arrange annual outings. Please contact Nurse Fernella Griffin or Mrs. Hyacinth Cabey, if you would like to help. These are the areas in which you might wish to be involved for a few weeks or months at a time.

Thank you for your positive responces
