Sacrament of Holy Baptism2007-12-16

My Dear Parishioners,
I greet you all on this the third Sunday in Advent. Today and this week we continue to prepare our lives, homes and relationships to receive God at Christmas.
|
Today being the third Sunday in the month is also that time when we administer the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. With our strong practice in the Anglican Church of baptizing the children of worshipping parents on the basis of the undertaking of parents and Godparents that they will teach them the faith, this is a time when we are all called to recognize and act on the fact that preparing to meet our God is about living our lives with such devotion and dedication to God that the rising generation by looking at our lives and examples will learn to understand what it means to be the children of God. I therefore urge all of our members to let your light shine out for the kingdom of God and his righteousness. When we do this God blesses us with all that we need.
