The Lord is Risen Indeed!

2008-03-23

My Dear Parishioners,

I greet you all in the in the name of our risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On this Easter Day we boldly declare: the Lord is risen indeed!

Come let us adore him! Brothers and sisters as we on this Easter Day 2008 look for a deeper experience of the risen Lord in our lives, St Matthew’s gospel teaches us a most important lesson with respect to encountering the risen Lord in more powerful ways in our lives and the world.

In his record of the response of the first witnesses to the resurrection the writer of St. Matthew’s gospel, emphasizes that those first witnesses of the resurrection - worshipped Jesus. This fact challenges everyone who is seeking a greater experience of the risen Lord in her/his life and relationship. Our search for that deeper and more powerful presence of the risen Lord in our lives and relationships demands that we take worship seriously. Let is therefore as part of our search for that deeper experiences of God in Christ make a commitment to regular and participatory worship.

Rev. Isaiah Phillip
