My Dear Parishioners,
Greetings in the name of the living God, who showed himself in the life work and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. That same God is still seeking out and calling people to make themselves available to him so that he can become truly alive and present in human life and history!
|
As your Parish Priest I continue to do my best to offer Parishioners opportunities to develop and strengthen their capacities to hear and respond positively to the personal call and challenge to God to make themselves available to Him as he carries on his mission and ministry in the world.
For children and young people we continue to offer opportunities through the Parish Sunday school, the AYPA, Servers Guild and the developing liturgical dancers group. Parents and guardians we urge you to influence the children and young people in your homes to get fully involved in some of these organizations and ministries of our Parish. They are all organizations and ministries that have stood the test of time. They have very good track records in terms of helping children and young to keep focus on positive living and also training them build stable and disciplined lives free from crime and violence.
We also offer opportunities for families to pray together; we do this because of our strong belief I the well known truth which says that the family that prays together stays together. Families throughout the parish are invited to lead our worship on one of our monthly family Sundays. They are celebrated every second Sunday in the month. Families lead all prayers, collect the offerings and they read the lessons on the Sunday. On Saturday they also prepare the church for Sunday’s worship.
Rev. Isaiah Phillip
