Lenten Participation2007-02-25My dear Parishioners,
I greet you all on this the first Sunday in Lent 2007. On Ash Wednesday a reasonable number of Parishioners attended our service. I am convinced that our parishioners are beginning to get out of the Sunday morning only worship. It is important that each Parishioner do everything in her/his power to make Lent 2007, a season of growth in personal faith and commitment. This means that we have to take time to be present at and participate in the entire Lenten programming. Full participation in the Lenten activities will help all of us to draw closer to God and thereby strengthen our faith and deepen our personal spirituality and faithfulness to God’s will and way. Our 2007 Lenten activities include exchange of pulpits on Sunday mornings (except Sunday March 18) among the St. Kitts clergy; on Wednesdays at 7:00pm there will be special Bible studies on “The Parables of Jesus”. During Lent our Thursday evenings varied programming will continue as usual:1st Thursdays 6:00pm Vestry Meeting; 2nd Thursdays 5:30pm Bible Study; 3rd Thursdays 5:30pm Evening Prayer & Mass; 4th Thursdays 5:30pm Readers & Intercessors Fellowship Meeting. All are invited to come and share in our activities.
Rev. Isaiah Philip
